BRADFORD Crown Court is still taking a hardline against Covid-19 despite the lifting of restrictions.
A trial due to be held yesterday was unable to go ahead as the defendant tested positive.
The court heard it was unclear what the protocol would be, but after enquiries were made it was confirmed the defendant would not be allowed into the building and his positive test would need to be registered with the NHS.
As a result, the trial had to be re-listed for June 13.
There is no longer a legal requirement for people with Covid-19 to self-isolate, however people who have any of the main symptoms of Covid or a positive test result are still advised to stay at home and avoid contact with others.
