STAFF and customers were shocked when a Pakistan cricket legend stepped foot inside a Bradford tea shop over the weekend.

Shahid Afridi, one of the best batsmen of all time, visited the Tea Factory, on Beckside Rd in BD7, with his family on Sunday.

On the way to a charity event in the city, the legendary cricketer enjoyed a cup of Desi tea alongside wife Nadia.

The 45-year-old posed for photos before making a swift exit as crowds began to build in their numbers.

One woman said: "He was in Bradford this Sunday for a charity event.

"Whilst on his way to the event, he popped into our local tea shop with his wife to enjoy a cup of Desi tea.

"Staff and fellow customers were shocked to see the star there.

"He posed for photos with staff and customers before making a swift exit before crowds started gathering."

Former Pakistan captain all-rounder Afridi holds the record for having hit the most sixes in the history of ODI cricket.

'Boom Boom' also took 395 wickets in ODI, 48 Test wickets, and 98 T20 wickets in an international career which spanned across two decades from 1996 to 2016.
