A MAN is due in court charged with speeding at 140 mph on the M606 - double the national speed limit.
Afzaal Shakoor, of Toller Grove, Heaton, was caught by manned equipment on the motorway on May 7 last year.
The speed limit is 70mph.
According to court documents, the 28-year-old has also been charged with driving without due care and attention on the M606 on the same day.
Summons have been issued for Shakoor to attend at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court.
This is for a case management hearing which will be held at 11am on August 10 this year.
Shakoor's case was last heard at Bradford Magistrates' Court on November 15 last year, where it was referred to a full court hearing.
