A CITY council has condemned fly-tipping after a large batch of waste was spotted in a nature reserve's car park.

On Sunday, members of the public were shocked to see dumped wood, bed frames and baby items placed next to their vehicles at Post Hill.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

The designated Leeds Nature Area, situated east of Pudsey Beck and Farnley Beck, is a popular place for families to visit.

Leeds City Council reacted sharply in removing the rubbish and issued this strong statement.

A spokesperson said: “After being made aware of the fly-tipping at Post Hill, the council’s local Cleaner Neighbourhoods Team moved quickly to clean up this site.

"Fly-tipping is a crime, which has a significant impact on our communities, and we do not tolerate it.”
