PLANS to turn a former care offices into a house have been submitted to Bradford Council.

The application, if successful, would see the old Care 24-7 Ltd building in Snowden Road, Gaisby, become a three-bedroom detached dwelling.

It would be a return to its original purpose if approved, as the classic stone property was formerly the School House before it became offices in 2004,

In the plans, it says the property is now vacant as Care 24-7 Ltd moved to more modern premises in Shipley earlier this year.

The applicant, Mrs K Thornton, said the change would "result in less traffic as the current employee’s will no longer be visiting the premises and parking on the public highway".

The layout of the property would be reconfigured to create a lounge, kitchen, and open plan dining and living space on the ground floor, with two good sized bedrooms and one box bedroom upstairs, along with a family bathroom and an en-suite in the master bedroom.

It also has a double garage with further floorspace in the roof area, and a good sized garden, along with a driveway big enough for two vehicles.

Consultation on the plans is open until March 30.
