A MAN has appeared in court for a series of shop thefts from Bradford district stores.
Edward James, 45, of Church Street, Keighley, was given a community order for a number of theft from a shop charges.
In the first, he stole nicotine tablets, worth £85, from Sainsbury's, Cavendish Street, Keighley, on November 30, 2021. He was also ordered to pay £85 compensation.
In the second charge, he stole meat worth £271.72 from Sainsbury's, Keighley, on December 4, 2021. He was ordered to pay £271.72 compensation.
James also stole Lynx body spray, worth £90, from Poundland, Airedale Shopping Centre, Keighley, on December 30, 2021. He was ordered to pay £90 compensation.
He stole Gillette razors, worth £150, from Poundland, Airedale College, Keighley, on January 9, 2022. He was ordered to pay £150 compensation.
James stole coffee, worth £40, from Poundland, Airedale Shopping Centre, Keighley, on January 14, 2022. He was ordered to pay £40 compensation.
He stole No7, worth £300, from Boots, Queensway, Keighley, on January 23, 2022.
In another charge, he stole No7 products, worth £233.54, from Boots, Queensway, Keighley, on January 27, 2022. He was also ordered to pay £233.54 compensation.
James pleaded guilty to the charges when he was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates' Court on February 10, 2022.
