HEARTBREAKING photos taken over the weekend by a member of The Telegraph & Argus's Camera Club show the sheer extent of damage caused to an iconic mills by a fire last week.

Dalton Mills, off Dalton Lane in the Keighley area of the Bradford district, was engulfed in flames after a fire broke-out there last Thursday.

More than 80 firefighters and 20 crews from fire stations across the city and wider areas rushed to the blaze just after midday.

They spent all day battling the inferno and were damping down into Friday.

Dalton Lane remains closed today while investigations into the fire continue.

Five youths were arrested on suspicion of arson the day after the blaze, but have been released on police bail pending continuing investigations.

Bradford Council has secured the site and made attempts to contact the owner of the mills at the end off last week, to advise them to sort a contractor to make the building safe.

The aftermath of the raging inferno was clear to see on Friday morning, with just the four outer walls of the mill still standing.

Now, T&A Camera Club member,  Anna Dyson-Clarke, has showcased the aftermath of the fire with some photos she took over the weekend.

They show burnt out cars, crews still at the scene and also cordons still in place.

Taking a look through this gallery gives you a real indication of the devastation the fire has caused to this iconic and historic building, which has been the location for several big TV and film productions in recent years and will now never be the same again.
