Police attended Bradford Moor Park this morning to find an individual who had been abducted from an address in Leeds.

It is understood that the police's current main focus is at the south end of the park - where the children's play area is.

The man was rushed to hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Naz Kosar, from Friends of Bradford Moor Park, says children have been scared today walking past the scene.

She also adds that her group have been pleading with local councillors to increase lighting and overall safety in the park.

Mrs Kosar said: "It all looks pretty serious.

"I was going to go in and collect my belongings from the container in the park then saw the scene. It is worrying.

"The cordon has been put up where the children play. Children who were coming home from school have had to walk past that, they are all worried.

"I am at a friend's house now and the three boys are petrified.

"We had just started to boost people's confidence to visit green spaces and in particular Bradford Moor park.

"We have been telling councillors that something needs to be done about lighting and personal safety in the park.

"The group has been actively asking for funding to host personal safety workshops and increase lighting in the park."
