A SERIOUSLY-INJURED cyclist was rushed to hospital following a crash with a car on a busy bypass.
The incident occurred around lunchtime on the Stanningley bypass in Pudsey.
The cyclist's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Road closures were in place for around an hour before they reopened just before 12.45pm.
A spokesperson from the force said: "At 11.45am, police were called by the ambulance service to reports of a road traffic collision in Pudsey.
"The collision occurred on the Stanningley bypass involving a car and cyclist.
"The cyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries but not thought to be life threatening.
"Road closures were in place whilst emergency services attended but the road was reopened a short time later at 12.40pm."
