Bradford Council Leader Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe said: "Our Bradford district has a proud history of pioneering women who embody the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day and truly Break The Bias.

"International Women’s Day is a great opportunity to remember those women and be inspired by them. We all look to a more equal world, one which is free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination and where difference is valued and celebrated.

“So many great activities and events are taking place across whole of the district and I would encourage anyone whatever their gender to get involved.”
