A LICENCE to hold live music events at Odsal Stadium has been approved by Bradford Council.
Events People Ltd - the business behind September's successful dance festival at the stadium, had submitted the application to allow them to hold multiple events in future.
These include another dance festival, an 80s festival and a concert featuring top names from the world of pop, including Bradford's own Gareth Gates.
On Wednesday Bradford Council's District Licensing Panel met to discuss an application to provide live music and serve alcohol at the Bradford Bulls ground.
John Oldroyd told the panel that last year's dance festival was held with minimal disruption to the surrounding area, and had proved a success.
They expected around 4,000 at each event in future.

Sound systems at the events would prevent the music from being a nuisance for people living near the stadium, and police would attend to make sure there are no incidents involving the crowds.
The panel heard that four events were planned for 2022 - two in June and two in early September. It was unlikely there would be more than six music events any given year, Mr Oldroyd said.
The panel approved the licence, with one condition being no licensable activity can take place in external areas of the stadium after 10.30pm.
