KEIGHLEY Cougars have joined the growing band of clubs from the Bradford District firmly throwing their support behind Ukraine.
The country has been invaded by neighbours Russia, to almost universal condemnation, and with Bradford and its surrounding areas having a sizeable Ukranian population, action is being taken here.
Bradford City held a minute's applause for the country and its people during their home game with Mansfield Town on Saturday, with Bradford (Park Avenue) doing that and taking donations during their home game with Farsley Celtic tomorrow.
Cougars are doing their own thing too, and in a club statement, they said: "This Sunday's game (at home to Oldham) will come with an important message.
"We will be welcoming local Ukranian organisations to Cougar Park to collect money to be donated to Ukrainian refugee groups from everyone here at the club.
"We stand with Ukraine, say no to war."
