BRADFORDIANS have been urged to show their support for the people of Ukraine in two events in the city this weekend.
Russian forces launched a major military assault on Ukraine earlier this week, with missile strikes and explosions near major cities.
Fans of Bradford City have been invited to carry out a minute's applause to support the Ukraine people in the 30th minute of the club's clash with Mansfield Town tomorrow.
The call has been made by the Ukrainian Bantams supporters' group on social media.

The group tweeted: "BantamsFamily, tomorrow OUR club will be standing with us and Ukraine, we ask you to join us.
"On 30mins please stand with Ukraine with a minutes applause and say NO TO WAR."
A bumper crowd is expected for the clash, as it is the first match new manager Mark Hughes will be in charge of City following his shock appointment yesterday.
Bantams fans have been urged to take part to say no to war and they have also been urged to bring any blue and yellow flags, the colours of the Ukrainian flag, to show their support.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Catholic Church will be hosting an event on Sunday.
'Pray for Ukraine' will be held at the Park View Road, Bradford, church at 11am.
