SMALL and medium enterprises showing marked success over the last year will be recognised in this award category.

The SME of the Year award, sponsored by BHP, is open to companies which normally employ no more than 75 full-time staff while demonstrating a strong financial performance.

This award looks to celebrate companies that are integral to the economy.

For all finalists, judges will consider current trading performance and the prospective growth and development opportunities for the future of the business.

Ashtree Vision and Safety, which produces mirror arms, mounting brackets and accessories, won the award in 2021.

Managing director John Roper said: “This is for everyone who works at Ashtree, it is a team effort.”
