AN investigation is underway after a house in Bradford caught fire.

Crews attended a property on Merton Road in Shearbridge for almost two hours this morning.

Three appliances from Bradford, Odsal and Fairweather Green were used to deal with the blaze at the address.

No casualties were reported.

A spokesperson from the Fire Service said: "It was a house fire on Merton Road.

"We got there at 10.54am and the last pump left at 12.04pm.

"Appliances from Bradford, Odsal and Fairweather Green attended.

"Initially calls thought there were people trapped but it turned out not to be the case.

"No casualties were reported.

"A request was made for the fire investigation officer to ascertain the cause of the fire."

West Yorkshire Police were made aware of the incident by the Fire Service at 10.53am.

The Force told the Telegraph & Argus that their enquiries remain ongoing.
