ONE flood alert remains in place for the district after Storm Franklin.
It's in place for the Upper River Aire Catchment, which covers the following area: River Aire from Gargrave to Stockbridge, including Eshton Beck, Eller Beck and Silsden Beck.
The alert, last updated at 12.28am today, says: "River levels rose as a result of persistent (heavy) rainfall yesterday and overnight.
"Areas most at risk are Skipton Washlands, Snaygill Ings, and Cononley Washlands. Although river levels in the upper reaches of the catchment have fallen below the flood risk threshold, river levels remain high at Kildwick.
"Levels at Kildwick will begin to fall overnight and into tomorrow, 22/02/2022.
"Washlands at Snaygill Ings, Skipton and Cononley are draining steadily but will still contain water for some time as this process takes place.
"We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast.
"Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded."
