A BRADFORD woman has appeared in court charged with stealing £620 worth of clothes from city shops and assault.
Claire Sutcliffe, 41, of Cornwall Terrace, Manningham, was given a community order for five charges.
In the first, theft from a shop, she stole items of clothing, worth a total of £100, from H&M, Eastbrook Hall, The Broadway, Bradford, on November 20, 2021. She was also ordered to pay £100 compensation for this offence.
In the second count, theft from a shop, she stole items of clothing, worth £169.98, from H&M, Eastbrook Mall, Bradford, on December 31, 2021.
She was also sentenced for one count of assault by beating, at Eastbrook Mall, The Broadway, Bradford, on December 31, 2021.
Sutcliffe also faced a charge of failing to surrender to police/court bail at the appointed time, at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates' Court, on February 14, 2022.
She was ordered to pay £150 compensation for stealing items of clothing, worth £350, from New Look, Eastbrook Mall, The Broadway, Bradford, on November 17, 2021.
The community order imposed on her includes a drug rehabilitation requirement.
Sutcliffe pleaded guilty to all five charges when she was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates' Court on February 15, 2022.
