KIRKGATE Shopping Centre, in partnership with the Telegraph & Argus, are hosting a competition to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee in June.

They are looking for budding artists up to the age of 15 to design a special celebratory card for Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee.

Once all the cards have been received judges Catherine Riley, Centre Manager at Kirkgate, and the T&A's Sue Taylor will select their favourite entries to go to a Facebook vote to decide the winner.

The winning entry will receive £200 to spend at Kirkgate and their contribution will be made into an official card to be sent to the Queen.

Ms Riley said: “We are delighted to celebrate this important milestone in our royal family’s history with a fun competition for the whole family.

"We are involving the Bradford community and giving budding artists a platform to showcase their designs.”

Families can download the special card template from the Kirkgate website or pick up from the shopping centre's ground floor, near F. Hinds.

The competition is open between February 23 and April 30.

Entries can be dropped in the post box provided in Kirkgate, sent via the post, or emailed to the shopping centre.
