A BRADFORD man has been jailed for stealing a gift set from a city shop, stealing meat from a supermarket and criminal damage.

Liam Reid, 37, of Deanwood Crescent, Bradford, has been jailed for a total of 12 weeks for three offences.

He was committed to prison for 12 weeks for theft from a shop. He stole a Dolce and Gabbana gift set, worth a total of £89, from Forster Square Retail Park, Valley Road, Bradford, on November 25, 2021.

Reid was jailed for eight weeks, to run concurrently, and ordered to pay £128 victim surcharge, for criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.

Without lawful excuse, destroyed a glass door to the value a glass door, to the value of £500 belonging to The Library, Centenary Square, Aldermanbury, Bradford, on November 26, 2021. This was for intending to destroy or damage such property or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged.

He was also committed to prison for 12 weeks, to run concurrently, for stealing meat, worth £40, from Tesco in Bradford, on November 23, 2021.

Reid was jailed as the offences were deemed to serious because of his record.

He pleaded guilty to all charges when he was sentenced on February 11, 2022.
