Flooding on the railway lines in Shipley, New Pudsey and Todmorden has caused chaos on train services in and out of Bradford.

Meanwhile, earlier problems in Leeds - caused by a boat hitting a rail bridge near the station - have been dealt with. 

Trains from Leeds towards Skipton and Bradford Forster Square cannot travel beyond Leeds due to flooding in a tunnel near Shipley.

For the same reason, trains from Bradford Forster Square and Skipton towards Leeds cannot travel beyond Shipley.

Services between Leeds and Ilkley in both directions are still able to operate, but may be delayed or cancelled due to the disruption caused by the flooding.

Services between Leeds, Manchester and Blackpool are being disrupted due to flooding at New Pudsey.

Meanwhile, trains between Leeds, Carlisle and Morecambe are currently being disrupted due to flooding north of Skipton and flooding near Giggleswick.

Road transport has been requested at Leeds, Bradford and Shipley, but is in extremely short supply. Customers should consider finding their own transport and keep their tickets to send in for a refund.

There is also flooding on the railway between Rochdale and Todmorden which causing disruption. As a result, trains may be cancelled or revised.

Manchester Victoria to Leeds trains will terminate at Rochdale, while Manchester Victoria to Blackburn via Tomorden services are now able to run in both directions.

Customers are advised DO NOT TRAVEL between Manchester and Leeds via Hebden Bridge.

Customers requiring Leeds should travel via Huddersfield or Sheffield where services are available.

A coach operated by Phantom Travel will depart Rochdale at 18:30 calling all stations to Leeds via Halifax and Bradford Interchange.
