HERE'S a picture often asked for - an archive image of Bradford's Baxendalls Cafe in Kirkgate Market.

This lovely nostalgic shot was taken in April 1972 by a T&A photographer.

Pictured, you can see the cafe's homely attention to detail with its branded lights and small booths, where you could eat your meal with a bit of privacy.

To your right, you can just about see the menu, advertising some of the cafe's main courses - Steak Pie & Peas for 11p, Pork Pie & Peas for 10p, and Sausage Roll with more peas.

In a time when our streets are filled with fast food and coffee chains, we'd love to hear your memories of this still popular cafe.
