A NEW recruitment drive has begun to attract people to work in Bradford's Adult Social Care department.

Bradford Council has a variety of professionally qualified, managerial and front-line care roles and is looking for people who are "passionate about making a difference to people’s lives and to helping their local community."

A Council spokesman said: "People from a variety of backgrounds are being sought to bring their diverse life experiences to enhance the council’s workforce, which provides guidance, support and assistance to the citizens of the Bradford district to help them to live happy, healthy and fulfilled lives."

Councillor Sarah Ferriby, Executive for Healthy People and Places, said: “We want to reach out to people who want to make a difference. I expect we have all at some point in our lives looked after and cared for someone we love, and having that care and support will have made a huge difference. We are encouraging people to come forward, get in touch and to make a difference to someone’s life.”

Adult Social Care is a growing sector which offers various roles and a long-term career with the opportunity of professional progression, training and the chance to learn new transferable skills.
