TWO cars have been badly damaged in a crash which left one of the vehicles stuck in bushes after it almost hit a building.

The collision happened overnight where Toller Lane and Whetley Hill (B6144) meet, at the junction of Carlisle Road (A6177), in the Girlington area of Bradford.

It involved a blue Vauxhaul and a white Volkswagen.

Both suffered extensive damage and debris was littered across the road and paths surrounding it.

The Volkswagen had a lucky escape, as the vehicle ended up stuck in bushes at the side of the crossroad and almost hitting a building, near a billboard advertising a hand car wash service.

The bumper of the car came off, with its front-right side smashed and crumpled.

Meanwhile, the Vauxhall was left facing sideways in the road and seemed to come off worse.

The front of the car was completely destroyed, while the back-left passenger door was crumpled inwards.

Police were at the scene.

The T&A has contacted West Yorkshire Police for more details.
