Yorkshire-born Adeem Younis, entrepreneur and founder of one the largest Muslim international charities in the world, visited Carlton Bolling School in Bradford.

Adeem, founder of charity Penny Appeal, spoke to 100 students who are in their final year of GCSE exams, to encourage and motivate them for the future.

Adeem’s talk focussed on his personal journey and how as an orphan he kept on breaking barriers with determination, hard work, and a sense of pride but also achievement in his studies.

Student Mohammad UI Haq from year 11 met Adeem and said: “Listening to the guest speaker today reminded me that anything and everything is possible.

“The guest speaker is from the same background as myself and grew up in an area similar to mine and is now a CEO. I aim to follow in his footsteps and also design my own app in the future.”

Adeem said: “It’s been a privilege to come along to Carlton Bolling School and talk to a hundred amazing students; I hope that my personal story will not only encourage them to strive for fantastic education results but to go out into the big world and have the belief to make a difference.

“I hope I have played a part in giving them that encouragement to achieve even more than I have.”
