FOLLOWING the success of their winter appeal, Bradford City are urging fans to support families struggling to make ends meet this half-term.

The Bantams’ Community Foundation is aiming to support 100 families during the upcoming half-term by providing food packages.

Many families across the district are struggling to make ends meet as the cost of living crisis gets worse and worse, but with children at home their money is even more stretched during half-term.

Bantams fans are being urged to either donate cash or dried or tinned food to the Foundation’s office up until half-term which begins on February 21, or by visiting the GoFundMe page.

During the winter appeal last year, more than 8,000 packages of food were donated and delivered to families in the district to keep them going and keep food on the table.

The Foundation is also appealing for drivers to volunteer on February 23 to help deliver the food parcels to families in need.

The community in Bradford has continued to be inspired to support the families most in need since England footballer Marcus Rashford MBE began campaigning for food parcels to be provided to families with children on free school meals during holidays in the first Covid-19 lockdown.

Rashford forced the Government into a U-turn after it initially refused to help, and on top of state-funded parcels many businesses in the district continue to provide food parcels to help out those in need.

Anyone who wishes to support Bradford City’s February Half-Term Appeal can drop food off at the Community Foundation office at Valley Parade, by emailing office@bcfccommunity.co.uk, or by visiting the Bantams Feb Foodbank Appeal 2022 GoFundMe page.
