A NEW pharmacy has opened in Bradford, providing residents with much needed medical services along with over holistic treatments to boost people's health.

Abrar Rehman Pharmacy has opened at Ashwell Medical Centre in Ashwell Road, Manningham, as part of a partnership between the centre and Imaan Healthcare.

Alongside the usual services that are being provided to people living locally, such as prescriptions, blood pressure testing, emergency contraception, and flu vaccines, it's also offering other types of broader treatment.

These include a gym for people to get more active alongside local chefs providing people with healthy recipes to improve their diets.

It's hoped these extra steps can have a positive impact in improving people's health, particularly given the high levels of obesity and heart disease which afflict the district.

After months of construction work, the pharmacy opened at the beginning of February. It's the sixth Imaan Healthcare pharmacy to open in Bradford.

Chloe Marie Jonesshearn, central operations manager at GreenLife Pharma which manages Imaan Healthcare pharmacies, said: “We are excited to open a new healthcare hub for our local community, extending our reach to local patients and improving access to healthcare.

"We thank our community for their continued support and look forward to serving everyone in the future in our custom built healthcare centre.”

The new pharmacy is open from 9am to 6pm weekdays, and 9am to 12pm on Saturdays.
