THE Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry battlefield tours is organising August and September pilgrimages to battle areas from the First World War.
They will visit the Somme, the Ypres Salient, Arras, Vimy Ridge and Loos battlefields.
They visit cemeteries or memorials on the battlefields and, when requested, an experienced battlefield guide will accompany each trip to commentate on the various battles and historic events that occurred in those areas.
The guides can also assist people in tracing war graves from the First World War.
The trips are open to anyone interested. All enquiries are welcomed.
