THE men who kidnapped and killed Bradford bus driver Asghar Badshah are set to be sentenced tomorrow – and you will be able to follow it live.

Qaisar Shah, Liam Buckley, and Sabbah Shahmuradi have all admitted conspiracy to kidnap Mr Badshah, whose body was found concealed in a derelict former bank building in Batley town centre on December 29, 2019.

Appearing in court last month, Shahmuradi, 36, from Woking, Buckley, 34, of Sunningdale, Berkshire, and Shah, 36, of Mayo Crescent, West Bowling, all admitted conspiracy to kidnap.

Shah had already pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Mr Badshah, and to possession of criminal property.

Mr Badshah, 39, known to friends as Oscar, was remembered as an “honest, hard working bus driver” by his family, was kidnapped from Mayo Road in the early hours of November 30, 2019.

He was never seen again, and his body was eventually found a month later hidden in a boarded up former bank in Commercial Street, Batley.

The defendants pleaded guilty on the day their trials were due to begin.

Also being sentenced is Sobia Syed, 37, of Henna Close, Great Horton, who pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess criminal property.

The three men and one woman are due to be sentenced at 2.30pm at Bradford Crown Court tomorrow (Tuesday, February 8) from 2.30pm, appearing in front of His Honour Judge Tom Bayliss QC.
