BRITISH Transport Police have confirmed a man died on the train line between Bradford and Halifax on Friday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene, near Low Fell, Halifax, just before 4pm on Friday.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to the line in Halifax at 4pm on Friday following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
The transport police said it was a man who had died.
A spokesperson from Yorkshire Ambulance Service said last Friday that "it was an incident involving a train and a person".
The incident blocked the line and a spokesperson for Northern had said a number of services had to be cancelled, delayed or diverted.
