Rob Beckett has told ITV “I’ll see you in court” after the broadcaster ‘replaced’ him on the latest episode of The Masked Singer.

The 36-year-old comedian has been taking to social media to insist he is the Traffic Cone in a long-running gag.

Beckett continued to claim he was the character on the show even when it was revealed to be Aled Jones on Saturday prompting a response from the broadcaster.

Taking to Twitter, Rob Tweeted: "Livid @ITV replaced me with @realaled and re filmed the reveal because I let slip."

He added: "Real Phoebe from Friends Smelly Cat energy."

The broadcaster replied with a laughing emoji to which Beckett replied: “See you in court.”

ITV his back: "Bring the ‘original footage’ with you" alongside a winking emoji.

Rob then congratulated Aled Jones for his performance on the show by saying: "Well done mate. Apologies for trying to steal your glory."

In Saturday’s semi-final Aled Jones was revealed as Traffic Cone.

After his identity was revealed, he said: “Can I go back to being classical and choral now?”

Asked why he wanted to take part he said: “It’s so uplifting and when will I ever sing Rick Astley and the Pina Colada song again?”

After his identity was disclosed, Jones wrote on Twitter: “What a brilliant fun experience! Singing stuff I don’t normally get to do!

“Thanks so much @maskedsingeruk and @itv – come and join #TrafficCone on tour end of the month and through March.”

Mushroom, Panda and Robobunny will go through to The Masked Singer final is on ITV at 7pm on February 12.
