CALLING daredevil fundraisers...

Yorkshire Cat Rescue is laying down the challenge of walking over fire and glass to raise funds for its centre, near Keighley.

The event will be hosted by Firewalk UK and all participants will be fully trained by Scott Bell, twice Guinness World Record holder for the greatest distance walked on fire. Those taking part will walk across hot coals and there is also the chance to walk over glass too.

Participants can choose to do both walks, or just one.

The event will take place at Keighley Cricket Club on Thursday, March 10. To take part a minimum target of £100 must be raised in sponsorship for each person.

Jo Beverley, one of the charity’s team of fundraisers, says: “We’re really looking forward to the Fire and Glass walk this year.

“We last did a firewalk in 2020 before the pandemic hit, which went down really well with everyone who took part and lots of money was raised.

“The evening will be loads of fun - you really won’t want to miss out!”
