A SCHOOL in the Bradford district has had to dramatically close today.

At 8.03am, Steeton Primary School announced that it had to shut its doors to pupils due to a power failure across the site.

The school apologised for the inconvenience caused to parents.

Teachers will be setting learning tasks online for pupils.

A statement on the Bradford Council website read: "Steeton Primary School has had to close today due to power failure across the site.

"We are sorry for the inconvenience that this will cause our families.

"Class teachers will be contacting parents with online learning tasks."
