A BRADFORD man is to stand trial for allegedly sending a Facebook friend request to a woman and messaging a man on the social media platform.

Daniel Moorehead, 35, of Skinner Lane in the Manningham area, faces a charge of harassment without violence.

It is alleged that on July 22 last year, Moorehead sent a friend request via Facebook to a woman and then on August 31 sent a message to a man on the same platform.

It is also alleged that, as part of this, between July 22 and September 1, Moorehead was pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of the two individuals and which he knew, or ought to have known, amounted to the harassment of them.

Moorehead appeared at Margate Magistrates' Court last Thursday (January 27) and pleaded not guilty.

The 35-year-old is set to face a trial on July 4 this year at the same court and has been remanded on bail until that date.

He has been ordered not to contact directly or indirectly the two individuals he is alleged to have harassed.

This is to prevent interference with witnesses or otherwise obstruct the course of justice, whether in relation to the defendant or any other person.

The two alleged victims will be provided with screens while giving evidence at court.
