A COMMERCIAL garage in Bradford city centre has been completely gutted by a fierce fire that raged on for hours last night.
West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service (WYFRS) was called at 9.05pm yesterday to MJ Autos garage, off Bedford Street in the Broomfields area.
Six fire engines from Shipley, Rawdon, Dewsbury, Cookridge and Leeds Fire Stations rushed to the blaze.
The whole two storey building was involved.
Firefighters tackled the inferno for more than two hours, before the incident was scaled down and two fire engines were left at the scene to dampen down.
The garage has been left completely blackened, with windows smashed and the inside melted and burnt.
The T&A visited the site this morning, at around 6.45am, and there was a police presence on Bedford Street, just outside the garage.
A police van was just leaving to be replaced by a single police car.
