POLICE have told people in West Yorkshire to report fallen trees to their local council instead of them as Storm Corrie is expected to hit northern parts of the UK tonight.
The storm is set to bring gusts of up to 90mph in exposed coastal locations in northern Scotland, and gusts of 70-80mph gusts in the north, according to the Met Office.
Hello from #Team5 here for the late shift. Will be another busy one thanks to #StormCorrie and high #Wind forecast and #Amber warning in some areas. Please do report fallen trees to your local council. 999 for emergencies and non emergencies can be reported online or 101. pic.twitter.com/ch0lEawtvO

It comes after its predecessor, Storm Malik hit Bradford severely on Saturday with a dozen trees collapsing, roads shutting, houses going without power, and train lines closing.
