MOUTHWATERING items are wanted to sell for a centre's fundraising appeal to help the Bradford district's homeless.

A2Z Learning Centre, in Legrams Lane, is organising 'The Great Cookie Fundraiser' and are asking bakers of Bradford to donate cookies, cupcakes, cakes or any baked goods.

The collected baked items, such as cookies, will then be distributed by a team of volunteers to sites across the district including school's for after hours bake sales to raise funds.

These items will then be sold at district schools and to the public on February 17 and 18. They will be priced £5 for six baked items and £10 for 12 items.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

The fundraiser will be raising money for two charities; the KML Project, a non-profit organisation who donate toiletries and hygiene essentials to local food banks, refugee families and other organisations.

The second charity set to benefit is ILM Corner, which provides care items, food and warm wear to the homeless and less fortunate.

All of the proceeds from the baked goods sale will go to the two charities.

Sandy Docherty, former contestant on the Great British Bake-Off, has already pledged to offer items to the cause.

Shaziya Younas, centre managing director, said: "It's our duty to support these types of charities.

"We will be taking orders which we will sell."

Professional bakers in the Bradford district can call the centre on 07378 346274 to donate baked goods to the cause.
