A MOTORIST has been fined for driving a vehicle with a large load on the rear that was not correctly secured.
The incident happened on the M62 at Hartshead Moor, near Brighouse.
Michael Raymond Stephenson, aged 47, of Bawn Approach, New Farnley, Leeds, pleaded guilty to "using on a road a motor vehicle/trailer - danger of injury due to weight/position/distribution/security of load."
Bradford And Keighley Magistrates Court heard that the incident happened on January 13, 2021,when a "vehicle was seen with large load on rear, not correctly secured, was such that its use involved a danger of injury to any person '
He was fined £240, must pay a victim surcharge of £34 and costs of £110, making a total bill of £384.
His driving licence was also endorsed with three penalty points.
Stephenson was sentenced on January 13 this year.
