BRADFORD Bulls have offered their support to a young rugby player who was criticised for being too "big" for his age.
In recent days, Mark Pugsley's tweet about how a Facebook "idiot" abused his son Alfie, 11, for being "unhealthy" has gone viral.
The likes of former footballer Robbie Fowler, rugby referee Nigel Owens and ex boxing world champion Enzo Maccarinelli have commented on the post - which has over 230,000 likes and 11,700 retweets.
All advised the youngster, who plays as a prop forward for Welsh team Oakdale RFC under-12s, to carry on enjoying the game and ignore the comments.
Bulls academy coach Michael Piper thought it was only right to get involved himself and offered Alfie a chance to come down to the club's training facilities.
Alfie, me and the @OfficialBullsRL academy lads are all big fans. You have an open invite to come up to our training facility and spend the evening with us. 🙌🏻 https://t.co/aPJDi2lP6b
