A THIEF has been jailed for the second time in two weeks after he changed his pleas.
Lee Anthony Thomas, 46, had originally denied stealing a bottle of perfume from B&M on Foss Island Road, York, on December 17 and assaulting a man on the same occasion.
He had also denied stealing a £309 smart watch from O2 store, Spurriergate on August 18 and a bicycle from Blake Street, on June 5.
Thomas, of Burdyke Avenue, Clifton, changed his plea to guilty on all charges and admitted failure to attend court on October 7.
He was jailed for a total of 22 weeks and told to pay £100 compensation to the man he assaulted and £160 compensation to the owner of the bike.
On January 12, Thomas was jailed for six months for carrying a knife in public. He had initially denied that charge, but had changed his plea on the day of trial.
