A MAN was arrested on suspicion of assault and attempted arson with intent to endanger life in Bradford.
Just before 12.30am today, police visited a property off Deanstones Lane, Queensbury to deal with a domestic related incident.
Minutes later, firefighters arrived but the blaze, which possibly came from the cooker, was already out.
The 28-year-old man remains in custody.
A spokesperson from the Force said: "Police were called at 12.21am to a domestic related incident off Deanstones Lane.
"A 28-year-old male was arrested for S47 assault and attempted arson with intent to endanger life.
"He remains in custody."
A West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue spokesperson added: "The time of call was 12.23am but the fire was already out upon arrival.
"It was a house but we weren't required to do anything.
"The fire was possibly from the cooker initially.
"Three appliances (Illingworth, Fairweather Green and Odsal) went but they got returned."
