A BRADFORD man has received a suspended prison sentence for assault and possessing an offensive weapon - a length of pipe.
Ellis Rubery, 20, of Vulcan Street, Bradford, appeared before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court, on January 19, having pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of a bath drainage pipe with a metal end as an offensive weapon.
Both offences took place on May 6, 2021 in Bradford.
He was handed a prison sentence of 16 weeks, suspended for 12 months, due to the seriousness of the offence.
He must also carry out 200 hours of unpaid work and up to 15 days of rehabilitation activity requirement.
Magistrates ordered that he pay £200 in compensation and a £128 surcharge to fund victim services, as well as £85 in costs.
