Emergency services scrambled to canal this evening
FIRE crews were scrambled to a canal this evening following reports of someone in the water.
Firefighters from Mirfield, Dewbsury, Raistrick and Rothwell were called to the scene in the Mirfield area earlier this evening.
It's understood the Yorkshire Ambulance Service was also called.
A West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesman said nothing was found and crews have now left the scene.
