THE upper floors of a city centre building that is home to a pub could be converted into flats under new proposals.

A new application submitted to Bradford Council details plans to turn the upper four floors of 90 Sunbridge Road into 15 flats. The ground floor of the building is home to the Ambassador pub.

The plans, submitted by S Gupta, say the upper floors are not linked to the pub business, and used to be office space. They have been empty for some time, according to the applicant.

All the flats would be one bed, and range in size from 37.87 square metres to 63.82 square metres.

Drawings in the application show that currently bricked up windows on the upper floors would be opened up again for the flats on the upper two floors, with a host of new windows created on either side of the building.

A decision on the application is expected by March.
