A NUMBER of temporary road and footpath closures over the coming week have been announced by Bradford Council.

Water works on or near Rowantree Drive, Bradford, have necessitated the closure of Rowantree Drive from its junction with Bradford Road to a point outside 73 Rowantree Drive.

The proposed order will come into effect at 9.30pm on Thursday February 3 and will remain in force until 11.30pm the same day.

Alternative routes for traffic will be via Rowantree Drive (the unaffected section), Faltis Square, Bank, Prospect Street, Victoria Road, Norman Lane, Bradford Road and vice versa. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Construction works on or near Wharf Street, Shipley, will bring about the temporary closure to traffic of Wharf Street, Shipley, Bradford from a point outside Shipley Glass to its junction with Rhodes Place.

The order will come into effect at 8am hours on Sunday January 30 and will remain in force until 5pm that day, and also at 8am on Sunday February 6 and remain in force until 5pm that day.

Alternative routes for traffic will be via Victoria Street, Salts Mill Road, Otley Road and vice versa. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Water works on or near Woodhouse Road, Keighley, means the closure of Woodhouse Road from its junction with South Street to a point outside 30 Woodhouse Road.

The order will come into effect at 7pmon Thursday February 3 and will remain in force until 9.30pm that day.

Alternative routes for vehicles will be available via Woodhouse Road, (the unaffected section), Hainworth Wood Road, Haincliffe Road, South Street and vice versa. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Water works on or near Bath Street, llkley, will necessitate the closure of Bath Street from its junction with Leeds Road for approximately ten meters in a northerly direction.

The order will come into effect at 8am on Monday January 31and remain in force until 5pm on Friday February 4.

Alternative routes will be via Bath Street (the unaffected section), Ash Grove, Ash Street, Leeds Road and vice versa. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Pedestrians are being temporarily prevented from using footpath in Thackley. Footpath number 105 (Bradford North), Thackley, Bradford, is being closed because of the likelihood of danger.

It will be closed from its junction with Leeds Road for approximately 15 meters in a northerly direction while work to make it safe is carried out.

The order came into effect on January 24 and will remain until 6pm on Friday February 4. No alternative routes will be available.
