A MAN who breached a restraining order three times in nine days by turning up at a house in Yeadon has been jailed.

Glen James Douglas Wilson, 53, pleaded guilty to three counts of harassment by breaching a restraining order on conviction, and received a 30 week jail sentence.

Appearing at Leeds Magistrates' Court, Wilson, of no fixed address, went to a house on Woodlea Mount and spoke to a woman who he was banned from having any contact with by a restraining order imposed by the same court in May 2019.

The three incidents happened earlier this month, on January 8, 16, and 17.

Court documents indicated that the prison term was reached due to the offence being so serious, the repetitive nature of the offending, the impact on the victim, and because they were committed soon after being released from prison.

A fourth charge, of stalking was withdrawn.

Wilson must also pay £156 to fund victim services.
