A MAN has been fined for riding an e-scooter on one of Bradford's busiest roads.
Madgy Siddig, 29, of Hardaker Street, White Abbey, faced a charge of using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third-party insurance and driving a motor vehicle otherwise in accordance with a licence on Thornton Road on October 8 last year.
For the charge relating to the insurance, he was fined £660, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £66 and costs of £90.
His driving record was endorsed with eight points. There was no separate penalty for the second charge.
The £816 he was ordered to stump up must be paid by February 10 this year.
It is currently illegal to ride e-scooters on UK roads and pavements.
