Police said it’s believed another male who was in the vehicle left the scene before police arrived.

“Will always remember the funny old times with you.”

Another said: “Still can’t believe it, was only last night I seen you, gunna miss you mate.”

A family member thanked friends for their messages of condolence, and said the family is in “complete shock and trying to understand what happened”, and asked for people to give the family privacy at this time.

"This is a live, ongoing inquiry into a serious incident and as such it would not be appropriate for me to comment publicly while the police investigation is in progress."
