A 77-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court charged with using a mobile phone while driving.

William Myers, of Moorside Drive, Bradford, has been handed six driving licence points, fined £164, ordered to pay £90 costs and £34 for the charge of using a handheld mobile phone/device while driving a motor vehicle on a road - endorsable offence.

The incident took place on junction 26, eastbound slip road of the M62, Bradford, on August 2, 2021.

He pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates' Court on January 11, 2022.

  • Asaim Hussain, 29, of Chippendale Rise, Bradford, was handed six licence points, fined £60, ordered to pay £110 costs and £34 victim surcharge for using a handheld mobile phone/device while driving a motor vehicle on a road - endorsable offence in Bradford on February 15.
  • Ibraheem Bostan, 22, Warley Drive, Bradford, was handed six licence points, fined £220, ordered to pay £90 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for using a handheld mobile phone/device while driving a motor vehicle on a road - endorsable offence, in Bradford on September 6, 2021.
  • Wasif Iqbal, 24, of Killinghall Road, Bradford, was disqualified from driving for nine months and fined £220 for using a handheld mobile phone/device while driving a motor vehicle on a road - endorsable offence, at Bradford on July 7, 2021.
  • Mohammed Waseem, 40, of Runswick Grove, Bradford, was fined £261, ordered to pay £110 and a £34 victim surcharge for using a handheld mobile phone/device while driving a motor vehicle on a road - endorsable offence, in Bradford on March 21, 2021.
