A 68-YEAR-OLD man was in a Bradford court after his dog caused injury to another individual in a public park.
On December 19, 2020, Anthony Child's Rottweiler, named Paddington, was dangerously out of control in Shroggs Park.
On January 5, Bradford And Keighley Magistrates Court told Child that, unless his dog is kept under proper control by being confined with a secure head and neck collar and a fixed lead at all times whilst being held by a responsible adult when in public, it must be destroyed.
The court said an experts report highlighted that the dog would not constitute a danger to the public if these conditions are observed.
A community order was made against the man of Ovenden, Halifax, and he is currently under curfew from 7pm to 7am.
Child, who pleaded guilty, will also pay £300 in compensation which will commence at £10 per week from February 2.
