The library, off North Road, normally closes at 7pm on a Thursday.
But Bradford Council revealed it had to shut due to staff being ill.
It reopened as normal today.
A Bradford Council spokesperson said yesterday afternoon: “Wibsey Library was open this morning but due to staff sickness we had to unfortunately close at lunchtime. We hope to reopen as normal tomorrow.”
Wibsey Library has a photocopier, audio books, children's activities, free internet activities and word processing.
